NOTA is excited to introduce new action committees as part of our 2025 Strategic Plan. These committees are designed to advance the mission of NOTA, strengthen professional development, and create a thriving community of practitioners and students. This is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact and help shape the future of occupational therapy in Nevada.

Each committee is focused on a key area of growth. We are inviting ALL professionals to get involved because we need EVERYONE to be successful.

What Committees are Available?
  • Advocacy: Amplify the voice of OT by increasing public awareness, advocating for policy changes, and driving initiatives like Medicaid reimbursement updates and expanded telehealth opportunities.
  • Advancement & Innovation: This committee fosters a collaborative environment that encourages creativity, experimentation, and data-driven decision-making to support forward-thinking initiatives.
  • Education & Conference: Support ongoing learning through the annual conference, workshops, and innovative professional development programs for practitioners and students.
  • Membership: Strengthen the OT community by growing membership, fostering collaboration between OTs and OTAs, and creating meaningful networking opportunities.
  • Marketing: Enhance NOTA’s brand presence, improve website usability, and develop resources for practitioners and students across Nevada.
  • Communications: Improve member engagement with consistent updates, unique events like a journal club, and opportunities to connect across the profession.
  • Leadership: Build a pipeline of future leaders in OT through training programs, mentorship opportunities, and recognition of outstanding contributions.
