NVOTA Annual Conference

2026 Annual Conference

2026 NVOTA Annual Conference
June 6–7 | Las Vegas City Hall

Where Three Professions Meet — and Everyone Benefits

Occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech-language pathology each bring a distinct lens to the work of helping people live fuller, more functional lives. But in practice, our clients don’t experience their care in silos — and neither should we.

This year’s NVOTA Annual Conference is something different. By joining together with our colleagues in physical therapy and speech therapy for a shared interprofessional gathering, we’re creating the kind of learning environment that mirrors the way care actually works: collaboratively, with each discipline informing and strengthening the others.

Why Interprofessional Learning Matters

Think of it this way: a single instrument can carry a melody beautifully on its own. But an orchestra — with strings, winds, and brass working together — can produce something none of them could achieve alone. That’s the promise of interprofessional education.

When OTs, PTs, and SLPs learn side by side, we leave with more than CE credits. We leave with a deeper understanding of how our colleagues think, what they prioritize, and how our own contributions fit into the larger picture of patient care. That shared fluency translates directly to better outcomes for the clients we serve together.

What You’ll Gain

Attending alongside physical therapists and speech-language pathologists gives you the opportunity to engage across disciplinary boundaries in ways a single-profession conference simply cannot. You’ll hear perspectives that challenge your assumptions in productive ways, make connections that carry into collaborative clinical relationships, and discover innovative approaches born at the intersection of our three fields.

For occupational therapists specifically, this is also a powerful opportunity to articulate and amplify what OT uniquely brings to the table — in a room full of people who need to understand it.

Las Vegas City Hall | June 6–7, 2026

Join us at the heart of Las Vegas for two days of shared learning, professional connection, and the kind of conversation that only happens when disciplines come together. Whether you’re a seasoned practitioner or early in your career, this conference is designed to send you home better equipped — not just as an OT, but as a collaborative care partner.

Share Your Expertise — Submit a Presentation Proposal

Your clinical insights, research findings, and innovative practice approaches deserve an audience. The 2026 NVOTA Annual Conference invites occupational therapists — and our colleagues in physical therapy and speech-language pathology — to submit proposals for consideration at our joint interprofessional conference, June 6–7 in Las Vegas.

Why Submit?

Presenting at a joint interprofessional conference is an opportunity that goes well beyond a single-profession event. Your work will be seen through multiple professional lenses, sparking the kind of dialogue that strengthens practice across disciplines. Whether your topic is rooted in OT, touches on shared clinical challenges, or explores the intersection of our three professions, this is the stage for it.

Submitting a proposal also means your work will be evaluated through a peer review process conducted by our joint interprofessional conference committee — a panel that includes occupational therapy professionals, physical therapists, and speech-language pathologists. That distinction matters. Acceptance reflects not just relevance within your own profession, but recognition of the broader value your work brings to collaborative, patient-centered care.
