Know Your Ballot
This November, Nevadans elect a new governor and decide on ballot questions that touch healthcare directly — scope-of-practice protections, insurance regulation, and state funding for the services our clients rely on.

Don’t skip the down-ballot races. Judicial races and ballot questions often carry real weight for healthcare and licensing — and they’re the races voters skip most often. As you research, practice evaluating your sources: check who funded or published the information, compare at least two sources with different perspectives, and verify surprising claims before sharing them.

Registration deadlines are approaching this fall. Nevada also offers same-day registration during early voting and on Election Day — but don’t count on needing it.

How to Vote in Nevada
Mail-In Voting
Nevada mails a ballot automatically to every active registered voter.
- Ballots are mailed roughly three weeks before Election Day
- Return by mail (postmarked by Election Day) or drop it at an official drop box
- Track your ballot online once it’s mailed
Early Voting
Prefer to vote in person before Election Day? Early voting locations and hours are available through the Nevada Secretary of State.
Election Day — Tuesday, November 3, 2026
- Find your polling place and hours
- If you’re in line when polls close, you’re still allowed to vote — stay in line
Know Your Rights at the Polls
Voting isn’t a test you can fail.
- You’re entitled to ask a poll worker for help if you’re unsure how to do something
- If you’re in line when polls close, you’re still allowed to vote
- If your name isn’t on the rolls, you can request a provisional ballot
- Language and disability accommodations are required at every polling place

Nevada counties need poll workers every election — and the skills that make you good at this work (patience, clear communication, staying calm under pressure) make you a strong fit. It’s paid, and it’s one of the most direct ways to support a smooth election for your community.
