Leadership Portfolio Final Reflection
Leadership Reflection Portfolio Instructions
This Leadership Reflection Portfolio is your opportunity to pause, reflect, and intentionally plan your continued leadership journey beyond the Pioneers in Practice Leadership Development Program.
There are no right or wrong answers. The value of this portfolio comes from honest reflection and thoughtful planning. We encourage you to write authentically and focus on the leader you aspire to become rather than the leader you think others expect you to be.
Complete each section in order, as each activity builds upon the previous one.
Part 1: Leadership Legacy Statement
Reflect on the lasting impact you hope to have through your leadership. Consider your personal values, the experiences that have shaped you, and the difference you hope to make within your organization, community, and the occupational therapy profession. Write a legacy statement that captures the leader you aspire to become and the impact you hope to leave on others.
Part 2: Leadership Development Plan
Translate your leadership vision into action by creating a practical plan for continued growth. Identify your long-term leadership aspirations, goals for the next year, leadership skills you would like to strengthen, opportunities you plan to pursue, and the people who can support your development. This plan should serve as a roadmap that you can revisit and revise as your career evolves.
Part 3: Leadership Accountability Agreement
Leadership growth requires intentional action and ongoing accountability. Develop a personal accountability plan that identifies specific actions you will take, potential barriers you may encounter, strategies for overcoming those barriers, and individuals who can support your continued growth. Commit to a regular schedule for reviewing your progress and updating your goals.
Before You Finish
Take a few moments to review your portfolio as a whole. Consider whether your Leadership Legacy Statement, Leadership Development Plan, and Accountability Agreement align with one another. Ask yourself:
- Does my development plan support the legacy I hope to create?
- Do my accountability strategies increase the likelihood that I will achieve my goals?
- What is one leadership commitment I am ready to make today?
Leadership is a lifelong journey of reflection, learning, and service. We encourage you to revisit this portfolio regularly, celebrate your progress, revise your goals, and continue investing in your growth as a leader.
